A new Zelda title has been revealed for 2019, the first time since Nintendo released the game for the Wii U in 2014.
The announcement was made during the company’s 20th annual E3 briefing, which took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The game, called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is set to launch in March 2019, with a new Wii U title due in 2019.
The game will also feature characters from previous Zelda titles.
A “significant number of our team” will work on the new title, a Nintendo spokesperson said.
The spokesperson did not specify the exact number.
Nintendo also said that the new game will include new content and features, and that the game will be free-to-play, but no further details were available.
The new Zelda was announced in 2018, with Nintendo revealing a new version of the game, dubbed Breath of Time, for the Switch in 2019, along with the announcement of a new Zelda-themed Super Mario Odyssey game in 2020.
